The well-know verse is lettered in the Classic Roman style, which is a drawn letter form. Ornamental swirls were added at the top and the bottom. It would be good for every Christian home to display this verse. A fellow calligrapher and friend, Charles Humphrey, who is now with the Lord, lettered this years ago and it was widely distributed through the Home Interiors company. What a great message of surrendered will for service to the LORD!
Behind the Art
My cousin, Steve Haxton, gave me a beautiful unfinished oval oak plaque. I took a sheet of parchment paper, lettered this verse, cut out the oval shaped lettering, glued it onto the oak plague, and gave it to my parents. They have had it on an easel in their living room ever since.
