Psalm 73:24-25

Psalm 73:24-25

The lettering is done in the Fraktur style, with a Lombardic capital "W" to begin the verses. The words "Thee" and "God" are done in gold to symbolize the great value of our God, above all else!

  • Story Behind the Art

Years ago, the truth of this verse in my life became very apparent, and I memorized it. More recently, Ben Hetrick, a young man in our church was in a terrible motorcycle accident. I remember being at the hospital and seeing the concern on the doctor's face as he told Ben's parents that his team was having problems finding the source of the internal bleeding. We were all wondering if Ben would live. The Lord answered the many prayers by sustaining Ben's life, but he was paralyzed from the waist down. Ben has had an amazing testimony through his acceptance of his paralysis. This verse is one of his favorites also, so I lettered it for him.

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.  Psalm 73:25-26
